Welcome to The Payments Authority Blog

What does my toothbrush have to do with Concepts?

toothbrush It was one of those moments. When the air is sucked out of the room and time seems to stand still. I watched in horror as my toothbrush did a 'Triple Lindy' into the toilet. Noooooooo. Ewwww! I was visiting the Boyne Mountain Grand Lodge in Boyne Falls, MI to get a 'lay of the land' before our Concepts 2010 conference in October.

While looking for a new one in the hotel gift shop, I couldn't help but think of all the payments people who would be traveling to Concepts this fall with their unprotected toothbrushes. So when I got back to the office, I found these handy little toothbrush protectors online and placed an order (thanks Marco) so that our attendees will never have to deal with such a mishap.

Ok, so if you haven't figured it out yet, not only did I purchase the mirror suction thingies so that I would have toothbrush protection in the future, but this is also a thinly veiled attempt to plug the conference. But if you attend Concepts, you'll learn how to keep more than your toothbrush safe (and receive a complimentary protector as pictured). You'll also learn about Corporate Account Takeover prevention, what Fraud has to do with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), and why we encourage all ACH participants to conduct an annual Risk Assessment. The new and sexy stuff will be covered as well - mobile payments, blogging and banking, etc.

It goes without saying that you'll enjoy meeting other payments folks during our receptions and a chance to peruse the latest and greatest that our vendors have to offer. Let me know if you want to talk Concepts (or toothbrushes). We look forward to seeing all your germ-free, smiling faces in the Fall.
